December 9x9, 5k Asian Daytime Division (Winner: Bonklers)

For this tournament, we're trying something different. A 9×9 tournament with fast time controls! Because upsets are more common in 9×9, there are only two divisions: One for people 5k and under, and one that is open, where people of any strength can play.

Important note: As in all KGS tournaments, anti-mouse-slip will be on for this tournament. That means that you must hover the mouse for at least ¼ second before you can click. In a fast tournament like this, that can be very important - make sure that you get the rhythm down of moving the mouse, hovering, then clicking. If you aren't used to this system, you can easily lose on time because your clicks will not be accepted!

Prizes

1. Winner of each division gets $15 US gift certificate at kiseido and 1 month added to their KGS Plus membership.
2. Any player who makes it into the final two rounds in each division will get 1 month added to their KGS Plus membership. There may be 2 or 3 of these second place finishers, depending on whether or not anybody gets a bye in the second to last round.
3. Every round, at the start, one player will be selected at random to get 1 week added to their KGS Plus membership. So even if you don't make it to the final two rounds, every round that you last gives you another opportunity to add 1 week to your subscription.
