Admins
Rather than asking a question of an admin, you can use the Help pages to find your answer. Click on the Help button in the lower right hand corner of the Rooms Window to access the Help pages
So, what is an "admin"?
One of the people in charge of the server for:
- Giving help to users,
- Encouraging users to follow the server's rules,
- If necessary, sanctioning those who misbehave by banning them from the server for a shorter or longer period of time.
How do I know who is an admin and who is not?
An admin's name is preceded by a five-pointed star. Senior admins have gold starts, 
. Junior admins have silver stars,

How do I get in touch with an admin?
- If an admin is on-line, you can send them a
PM.
- Alternatively, you can send an email to admin@gokgs.com
How to become an admin?
When KGS needs additional admins (either for coverage during certain time periods, or for certain technical or language skills), they are chosen from among the KGS users
- who are often on the server,
- who are familiar with the operation of the server,
- who respond spontaneously to questions from users, and
- who communicate and get along well with other users.
Non-native speakers must have a sufficient understanding of English to communicate well with the other admins. Of course, prospective admins who create problems (e.g. by trolling, flooding, rudeness, misconduct in public areas, ...) are rejected.
The appointment is made by invitation and mutual agreement, after approval by the existing admins.
